Cork City Centre, Co CorkCork is Ireland's third city and has always been an important seaport. Today the River Lee flows through the city in 2 main channels, so that you find yourself constantly crossing bridges. Some of the main streets are built over channels where ships nuzzled their anchor chains a century ago. The best way to see what the city has to offer is to go by foot.
